Who am I?

I am in charge of being me. For that I use theatre and literature, cinema and art history. Yoga and the mountains.

What is theatre for me?

I light a fire with a great log. Watching it, there is no way of knowing what will become of it, where it will catch, which parts will make the most splendid fire, which will fall away, which will remain… All I can do is try to make it burn. The fire creates its own work of art. I don’t know whether that is theatre, but I hope it will be, for me, every time I am on stage.
