Ritual theatre, collective dramaturgy

Compañía Laboratorio Teatro was born within the Laboratorio de Expresión Corporal Dramática, out of the latest generation of actors trained at the school. It is led by Jessica Walker, a Chilean actress and director and founding member of the legendary Teatro del Silencio.

Its theatrical language is marked by the living presence of the actor, by emotion and by honesty on stage. Its productions show a body of experimental work that approaches, through ritual theatre, physical design, research into atmospheres, collective dramaturgy, writing on the floor, and the alchemy between Walker’s vision and her actor-creators.
