Jessica Walker

Bhakta, artist and meditator. For forty years she has been involved in projects linked to Art and Consciousness. After graduating in Drama at the University of Chile, she went on to study dance and yoga. She also lived for a year in the Atacama desert, where she carried out experiential work with meditation, tarot and God. She trained in Ayurvedic massage in India and in Kundalini Yoga and naturopathy in Barcelona.

She is a student of A Course in Miracles and a devotee of Paramahansa Yogananda and his Kriya Yoga lineage.

In 1999 she founded Laboratorio de Expresión Corporal Dramática in Barcelona, developing and testing a creative line of her own, with heart. She has directed more than a thousand theatrical processes (solos, duets and collective productions).

For two decades she has organised festivals, gatherings and retreats. She has created more than thirty gatherings on theatre and self-knowledge across Europe, South America and India.

In 2017 she created “Laboratorio Sin Fronteras, Artes para el Desarrollo Humano”, an NGO that seeks to expand, share and help wherever and whoever it can, organising Bhaktis (devotional sessions for meditation and expression) in South America, India and Spain, working with other charities linked to childhood, and awarding grants to Latin Americans. In 2019 she opened Laboratorio de Meditación Experimental, whose mission is to build an everyday, simple and direct relationship with the divine, to enrich our lives and the way we meditate.

Since 2013 she has directed Compañía Laboratorio, with which she has created ten productions that have toured stages and festivals in Spain, France and Chile.
