Helen
A tribute to Helen Schucman, scribe of A Course in Miracles.
The Company’s fifth production is based on the true story of an atheist psychologist living in Manhattan who, in 1965, after a series of premonitory dreams, signs and regressions, heard the following command: “This is A Course in Miracles. Please take notes.”
The voice identified itself as Jesus Christ, and Helen, supported by her colleague Bill Thetford, answered the call throughout the seven years it took to write this revolutionary treatise.
Jessica Walker, a student of the Course for more than twenty years, places us in a dreamlike restaurant where the encounter takes place with Helen, Bill, Jesus, Kenneth Wapnick — author of “Absence from Felicity”, Schucman’s biography — and the staff serving in this establishment outside time.
