Así habló Zaratustra

“Así habló Zaratustra” is based on the famous book of the same name (Thus Spoke Zarathustra), written by F. Nietzsche over ten days of creative trance in 1884.

The protagonist is Zarathustra, the author’s alter ego in a literary experiment combining parables, reflections, songs and poems, reflecting Nietzschean thought around four pillars: the overman, the will to power, eternal recurrence and the well-known “God is dead”.

The production alternates passages from the book with characters and events from the author’s life, and offers different incarnations of Nietzsche himself throughout.

Premiered in November 2017 in Barcelona.
